About The Probe Thermometer
A Probe Thermometer is a digital device which measures temperature via probes connected to a set of long wires. The probes contain a thermistor which is placed within the food and a base station digitally reports the measured temperature. The probe thermometer can give an almost instant reading in celcius or farenheit which is displayed as a convenient digital reading.
The electronic probe thermometer measures temperature using a voltage within the probe. Varying temperatures provide different levels of resitance to the current which can then be measured and converted into a temperature reading via an enclosed microchip.
